Teleseminars and Webinars are excellent ways to market your products and services. They allow many people to feel like they’ve met you all at once. You’ll be giving people real access to you that they may not ever get otherwise. Plus, you will look and sound super professional using this technology to further your brand and make sales.

But, like with any technology and marketing method it’s important to understand how to proceed in a way that will maximize the results. Follow the below ten tips to achieve outstanding results with all your teleseminars and webinars.

1. Know Your Audience — If you know who your audience is, their fears, hopes and dreams for their future you’ll be able to create products and services that solve their problems. In addition, you’ll be able to create presentations that speak to them on an emotional level that they can relate to causing them to want what you have to offer.

2. Partner With Others — Try to find other people to do the event with you. By asking other complementary professionals who market to your target audience different products and services than you do, you’ll automatically increase your reach. If each of you markets to your own lists and connections you’ll double or triple your possible viewership.

3. Incentivize Sharing — Make it easy for participants to share information about the event not just before but before, during and after the event. Ask your participants to Tweet using a specific #hashtag during the event and give out prizes through a drawing process. Give affiliates an extra large cut of the entrance fee if any.

4. Create Targeted Information — You probably already have basic information ready for presentations about different areas of your business. But, it’s important to customize that information for the particular target audience. Most meeting software allows you to collect some information and demographics to help you with this part.

5. Choose Your Format — Decide who will speak first and whether or not each speaker will have time for Q & A. Will there be a moderator who introduces each speaker, or will they just go on in a specific order one right after the other?

6. Choose Technology — Once you know what your information is, and what type of technology you’ll need to deliver the information you can choose your technology. You may need specialized technology or you may be able to use something out of the box like GoToMeetings.com or AdobeConnect.com.

7. Remind Sign Ups — When people sign up for your event, even if it’s a paid event some people will forget to show up. Be sure to remind them a few times before the event releasing a little information each time about what to expect and, yes, of course, ask them to share that information with others so that you can get even more participants.

8. Practice Makes Perfect — You want to deliver your presentation with energy and enthusiasm. If you don’t practice delivering your information through the technology you are planning to use issues can happen that prevent you from being at your best. You don’t have to be perfect, but you do need to appear authoritative enough that people will want to follow through to your call to action.

9. Be Interactive — Before the event ask participants to think about questions the might ask you, you can even let people send questions in advance if they’re too nervous to speak up or in case you run out of time. You can take time during the event to randomly answer questions that have been asked.

10. Follow Up — It is important to follow up after every event with everyone who attended and even with those who missed it. Send out a transcript of the event with relevant links to ensure that everyone gets a chance to follow up with your call to action.

Finally, be sure to do an evaluation of how you feel the event went. Write down what went right and what went wrong. Study the metrics of the event so that you can make the next event even better. By following these steps you will maximize the results of all your teleseminars and webinars.
